Jim Curry Fly fishing has access to over 13 miles of excellent River Wharfe trout water. This beautiful river has a well deserved reputation of being one of the top trout streams in the country.

Jim caught his first trout on the Wharfe at the age of 8 and has been fishing it ever since. Now living over looking its banks Jim is ideally placed to share the great fishing and stunning surroundings the river has to offer.

His biggest wild brown trout from the Wharfe was 3 1/2lbs, but the biggest he has witnessed was while guiding Ron Welch and weighed over 6 3/4lbs!

Unfortunately JCFF cannot guarantee such results, but we can certainly improve
your chances.

Northumbian Seatrout Fishing
Jim Curry Fly Fishing is proud to have gained access to of some of the most productive big-fish water on the River Wear. The average weight in 2006 was just over 4lbs with double figure fish not uncommon.

Last year's best evening saw one of our clients catch 6 seatrout over 4lbs with the best being an extraordinary 8.75lbs!

The best fish this season is an exceptional 18 pounder, which was returned!

We have access to some of the best holding water on the entire river, so once we get water we tend to get and hold fish.
